What is transfer Factor?

transfer factor colostrumIn the first critical days of life for humans and other mammals, a mother passes on vital immune knowledge through the first meal—colostrum—which contains transfer factor molecules. As nature’s first supplement, these memory molecules transfer immune experience to educate and prepare the newborn’s immune system to function in the world.
While vitamins and herbs provide nutrition to the immune system, transfer factors provide information so immune cells can do their jobs faster and more effectively. Research over the years has revealed that transfer factor molecules are abundant in nature.
Watch the video below as Dr. Calvin McCausland, 4Life’s Chief Scientific Officer explains Transfer Factor.
Transfer Factor is known to be the only supplement in the world made by the immune system for the immune system. It’s not a drug, nor is it a cure. Transfer Factors molecules are completely unique. They contain information that can be transferred from one immune system to another. What it does is it educates, enhances, and balances the immune system by way of focusing on the T-Lymphocytes, or Killer T-Cells. This induces a cell-mediated immune response, which causes a positive domino effect on the entire human body.
transfer factorTransfer Factors are one of nature’s most elegant form of immune communication. It is also responsible for keeping our arteries healthy by cleaning all our veins from toxins or foreign bodies that enter our blood system.  With continued use this results to youthfulness and cells are replaced with new ones, therefore skin becomes younger and smoother. Plus it also affects organs of the body, making your immune system fully optimized, preventing diseases, and restoring body cells to its original form.

In medical definition according to Kirkpatrick, et. al, “Transfer Factors are peptides consisting of 44 amino acids. Transfer Factor molecules are smaller than antibodies and just one third the size of a virus with a molecular weight of less than 10,000 daltons (between 3,500 to 5,000 daltons). According to Dr. Jose Panopio, “Transfer Factors are pre-processed, pre-formed antigen specific receptors that binds with the TCR (T-Cell Receptors) to induce a CMI (Cell Mediated Immune) response, which is the making of the immune machinery.”
Transfer Factor (produced by 4Life Research, USA) is hypoallergenic, free of casein, lactoglobulins and other large proteins, yet it contains intact cytokine fractions identical to leukocytic cytokines. Russian Academy of Medical Sciences points out that unlike other immuno-modulators, Transfer Factor has a wide spectrum of activity, is safe, is administered orally, has no contraindications or side effects, and is effective both in adults and children.
Functions:
• Help immune cells quickly recognize invading germs or other potential threats
• Help the immune system respond more efficiently after an invader has been identified
• Lend a hand in remembering how to tackle each problem your immune system encounters, so your body knows exactly what to do the next time
First, it educates or teaches the immune system cells to recognize diseases in the body and send these soldiers to attack and kill invaders such as bacterial, viral, parasitic, fungal, malignant, neurological and autoimmune diseases.
Shown below is the normal process of immunization within the body.
Cell mediated immunity
On the next picture, the process is being bypassed by providing the needed information directly to the immune cells thus speeds up the activation of B-Cells, T-Cells and NK-Cells and act against the invading virus or bacteria more faster.
Cell mediated immunity
transfer factor functionsSecond, it enhances the immune system by boosting it beyond its original state up to 437% increase in killing rate or immune activation. With this outstanding ability, the immune system can now destroy 97% of cancer cells in a 48-hour laboratory test in vitro, (please see test below an illustration by JEUNESSE Inc., Institute of Longevity Medicine, California USA).
transfer factor functionsThird, it balances the immune system when it is over reacting causing autoimmunity, such as diabetes, an auto immune disorder of the pancreas, wherein good cells fight other good cells due to immune misfire or immune system mistake. This erratic behavior is balanced by Transfer Factor through its ability to command suppressor cells to suppress inflammation thereby normalizing it.

Transfer Factor was discovered in 1949 by Dr. H. Sherwood Lawrence, USA, while doing an experiment. He extracted blood specimen from donors who have developed immunity on tuberculosis, extracted T-Cells from the white blood cells and injected it to his assistant who never had tuberculosis. In two days, a tuberculin test revealed that his assistant was sensitized to TB. History was made confirming his theory that immunity is therefore transferable from one specie to another and vice-versa. He then discovered that the strange molecules attached to the T-Cells were the one responsible for transferring of immunity, so he called them Transfer Factors. This revolutionized medicine instantly. However, this was the time when science came in and told Dr. Lawrence to stop the regimen until he finds a safer and more suitable source of Transfer Factors other than the human blood.
In 1950′s, antibiotics became the golden child of medicine. Antibiotics’ popularity overshadowed Transfer Factor, which was eventually shelved. In 1960′s, steroid became the golden child of medicine.
In the 70’s and 80’s, the urgent call for Transfer Factor was revived due to the overwhelming side effects of drugs. Antibiotics are powerless when bacteria grow wiser. It has no effect on viruses. Steroids made people bloated, women grew hairs on their faces, and inflammation worsened causing more harm than good. At this time, 4Life Research was at the forefront and hundreds of scientists were challenged to find Transfer Factor in other sources. US$ 42 Million was spent on research. Finally, Transfer Factor was found, of all places, in the woman’s milk. Transfer Factor molecules where found in the milk called colostrum (available only during the first three days of milk upon birth).
In several instances, when the young calves were separated at birth from their mothers, they die after two weeks.  So without Transfer Factor, all animals would not survive.
Babies that were not breast-fed during the first three days of birth became sickly and experience more allergies, asthma and diarrhea attacks. These led to the discovery of Transfer Factors in the first three days of milk called “Colostrum”. In cows, its found within the first five days or first 9 gallons of milk. Chicken egg yolk also contained similar Transfer Factor molecules. After testing these molecules were found to be similar in structure and are non-specie specific, meaning they can be transferred from humans to animals and vice-versa. They carry immunity codes or antibodies transferred from mother to baby, which helps the young offspring survive the first six months of life.
Through a patented filtration process, 4Life extracts transfer factors from cow colostrum and chicken egg yolks for the foundation of its Transferceutical™ products. People of all ages can benefit from nature’s first supplement by borrowing immune memory from the strong, heroic immune systems of these two animals.

Transfer Factor products are designed for oral consumption, but based on our satisfied users some of them even apply to the skin or any affected area, or for some who cannot ingest food, they apply it sublingually (under the tounge). For infants who cannot take capsules please dissolve the powder in water or milk. Transfer Factor is also safe for your Pets.
For healthy individuals who wants to further increase their resistance to diseases and have more energy during the day, you may take 1 to 2 capsules of any Transfer Factor products or 30ml serving of Riovida preferably before meal.
If you feel unwell and needed extra immune system boosting, you may increase your intake from 3 to 6 capsules of Transfer Factor or 2 servings 30ml of Riovida in a day. Coupled with ample rest and healthy food selection, you will be fine in no time.
For Severe or Chronic cases that needs immediate medical attention, we advise you to take at least 9 to 12 capsules or 30ml of Riovida 3 times a day for faster response and recovery.
For Terminally ill conditions where sometimes life is at stake, we do give dosages as high as 15 capsules a day or even more, and 60ml twice to three times serving of Riovida per day. We also encourage to combine 2 or more Transfer Factor products for even potent action since we are dealing with time. Some may find this costly but it actually saves you from long term expenses.
